Enterprise security without friction
Secure alternative to Identity and Access Management to In the age of a digital workplace, employees are becoming increasingly mindful of their privacy — especially when it comes to their private mobile devices. Deskless workers are no exception to this as they are entering the era of frontline digitisation. For enterprise organisations, this proses a tricky challenge as they aim to strike a balance between necessary security measures and user autonomy. Blink's "MDM-lite" approach provides a non-invasive, yet secure connection to workplace apps and critical communications without the heavy-handed approach of traditional Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. MDM Lite for Frontline Deskless Workers - With Blink
Activation & Gamification
Activation of employee accounts is a key part of the onboarding process. We use gamification techniques to encourage line managers to activate their accounts and explore the platform to promote it to their employees. This not only increases engagement but also helps managers become familiar with the platform's features and functionalities.
Activation & Nudging
Dashboards require conscious effort to utilise successfully. While this can be very effective, we have also seen a lot of success through sending insights in the Feed to managers and frontline workers. For example, we can trigger Feed post nudges to specific individuals or teams to complete onboarding surveys, share scorecards with external data, and recognise top posters and commenters, etc.
Tasks in the Feed
By creating feed posts from other core systems drives continued utility and engagement, Blink can become the one app to access them all. These integrations allows for seamless access to important information and tasks within the Blink app, maximizing productivity and ensuring that nothing gets overlooked. With the ability to create feed posts from various core systems, employees can easily stay updated and engaged without having to switch between multiple applications.

Desk-less vs Desk-Based Approach
Desk-based Workers Desk-based workers typically have access to a computer or laptop and are able to work from a fixed location. They may have more consistent and reliable access to the internet and are less "on the move". This means that engagement apps for desk-based workers can be more information-dense and content-rich, with a focus on productivity and efficiency. Desk-less Workers Deskless workers, on the other hand, are often on their feet and working from various locations throughout the day. They may have limited access to a computer or laptop and may rely more heavily on their mobile devices. This means that engagement apps for deskless workers should be designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind, with a focus on providing the most important information quickly and easily. Deployment Strategy Blink connects and enables not just your frontline workers, but those behind a desk as well. It's important to design Blink so that it suits the needs of both your frontline staff and your desk-based staff while taking into account their unique differences. Rolling out an employee engagement app to both your desk-based workers and desk-less workers shouldn't differ in terms of process and actions. However, the incentive that compels your desk-based employees to join Blink versus your desk-less employees will differ. Each group has unique needs and wants that should be accommodated by the platform being introduced. Defining what the real "hook" is for each group will ultimately drive the success of the project and is a core part of our ethos. Desk-Less Hooks Hub Integrations (SSO): frontline workers have too many passwords and challenges locating necessary content. Seamless SSO access via the Blink Hub to critical content in your existing systems, such as payslips, is game-changing and time-saving. Localised feed support, team chat groups, and immediate access to management: increases peer-to-peer communication as well as boosting recognition & engagement for workers who've previously felt disenfranchised or forgotten. Automated notifications: Employees can be notified about personally-important or work-critical information immediately - including real-time shift availability, payslip availability, or time-sensitive training as just a few examples. All streamlined in one place instead of in disparate systems. Digitised processes/forms: Less time spent by team members on time-consuming tasks by offering digital forms for holiday requests, expenses, reporting incidents, maintenance issues, and more. Totally customised to your needs. Our customers have direct access to our Product team. Our top requested features can be found here: Blink Product Portal Externals in Blink Many of our organisations manage some form of agency, temporary or bank staff on Blink. Franchising contracts & driver shortages in the UK mean transport customers are frequently sharing staff (Go Ahead, Stagecoach, Metroline). NHS Fife manages bank staff on Blink scaling up or down depending on demand. Some healthcare customers, such as Elara Caring, also involve patient communities on Blink. We also have customers using our company structure to manage multiple brands/subsidiaries centrally, while giving them a unique brand experience. Our team & permissions structure allows you to configure the content displayed in the Feed & Hub by group. This means external users can exist in the same environment as permanent staff but have restricted view/access. Some organisations also opt to provide a separate platform altogether for subsets of users, managed by nominated admins.
